Drag and drop

Drag files or folders from Explorer onto the board:

• Images, video, PDFs, audio, fonts become cards you can play, read, or preview.
• A dropped folder becomes a folder shortcut: a clickable tile that opens it.

No import step, no conversion. An empty board shows a Drag and Drop … Here hint cycling through the media types it accepts.

Import an image sequence

Hold Ctrl while dragging a numbered frame (e.g. shot.0001.exr) to bring in the whole sequence. Pick the frame rate and ReelMarkr transcodes it to a native-resolution preview clip next to your source frames. A plain drag brings in the single frame as a still.

Create items

Right-click an empty spot on the board and open Add:

• Storyboard: a fixed-size storyboard panel to sketch shots in. See Storyboard panels.
• Color swatch: a saved color chip.
• Sticky note: a quick pastel note.
• Task list: a checklist / to-dos.
• Document: a rich-text document.
• Voice memo: record an audio note.
• Folder shortcut: link a folder on disk.
• Font: a font specimen card.

Paste

Ctrl + V pastes images, text, or links from the clipboard. Use Paste as in the right-click menu to choose how the content comes in. Pastes read the raw PNG payload first, so transparent images keep their alpha.

Drag images in from a browser

Drag an image out of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and ReelMarkr saves a real copy into the project’s Pasted/Browser/ folder under its original filename, so the card never points at a temp file. The source URL is recorded at drop time:

• Select the card and press M for the metadata popup. The Source row links back to the original page.
• If the file goes missing, the placeholder card shows the recorded source with a Download again button. Re-dragging the same image from the browser heals the card, keeping position, size, and wires, instead of creating a duplicate.

Use it when: pulling many web references you need to trace back later.
