Task lists
A task list is a card you drop on the board like any other node. It holds rows with statuses and tags you define yourself, plus a schedule view that draws the list as a Gantt against real dates.
Add one from the canvas right-click menu ▸ Task list, or ask the assistant for it (“add a task list for the VFX shots with statuses”).
Each row is a task with a checkbox, a title, and its statuses and tags. Type into a row to rename it, check it off when it’s done.
Statuses you define
Section titled “Statuses you define”Out of the box a task is open or done. Beyond that you create your own
statuses (Client review, Waiting on plate, Approved) and colour each
from the app’s triangle picker.
A status you create is stored as a global preset: it becomes available on every task list, on every board, from then on.
Right-click a status ▸ Manage to rename, recolour, or delete presets.
Use it when: your studio has more real states than “done / not done”.
Tags work the same way: create them inline, colour them from the same picker,
and they join the shared preset pool. Use them for cross-cutting labels that
aren’t a state, like hero shot, needs client sign-off, stretch.
Right-click a tag ▸ Manage to edit or delete tags across the whole app.
The schedule view (project planner)
Section titled “The schedule view (project planner)”Open the project planner from the node and the same tasks are drawn as a Gantt chart: each task’s duration, its finish date, and how the rows stack up over time.
A task’s deadline and its Gantt finish date are the same value. Move the bar and the date moves with it, and vice versa.
Use it when: you need to see whether the work fits before the delivery date.
Where it lives
Section titled “Where it lives”Task lists save into the board’s .rmic, so tasks, statuses, tags, and dates
travel with the board. Status and tag presets are stored app-wide, which
is what lets them show up on every task list you create.
